ITANAGAR, Mar 17: Apatani Youth Association while condemning the assault on Arunachal student Higio Gungtey by his landlord in Bengaluru has demanded stringent punishment as per provision of SC/ST Act and Indian Penal Code. It further appreciated the prompt action taken Chief Minister Pema Khandu and MoS Home Kiren Rijiju and also urged the government to monitor the situation and ensure justice to the victim. We express our solidarity with the parents of Gungtey and pray for his early recovery, the association said in a release.
