Khonsa, Sep 12: The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation Tirap unit conducted one day awareness program on Traffic Parking Management at Khonsa Bazar vehicle parking lot.
CO cum Town Magistrate Dr. Ripi Doni while addressing the gathering appreciated AAPPTF Tirap Unit and informed that Tirap, Changlang and Longding popularly known as TCL region has been included in tourist circuit recently by the Government of India and as such awareness program on traffic parking management is of utmost importance.
Dy. SP Togum Gongo while attending the program as special guest appealed all the vehicle owners and drivers to comply with the guidelines of traffic rules to avoid paying penalty. He also sought cooperation from all walks of life to eradicate drug abuse from the region and also to apprehend miscreants indulgence in various unlawful activities from the region.
Gongo also addressed Good Samaritans, and urged people not to be afraid to help road accident victims. The law is on your side, he added that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway issued guidelines for protection of Good Samaritans, as per the Supreme Court’s direction.
