TEZU, Mar 25:
The inaugural function of programme for persons with disability conducted under the aegis of National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disability, Chennai in collaboration with Arunachal Pali Vidyapith Society, Chongkham, Namsai district was held here today at Tamladu Cultural Complex.
Various schemes, benefits and rights accorded to disabled people in a bid to empower them were explained by the resource person. An exhibition of various equipment that facilitate disabled persons in their day to day life like hearing aids, hand driven cycles etc was also displayed. Altogether hundred disabled persons attended the programme.
