Dirang, Jun 18: With the aim of giving wide publicity to the ensuing 5th International Day of Yoga as well as to make people aware about the multiple benefits of yoga, an awareness-cum-yoga practice session was organized today by the Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of I & B, Government of India, Tawang unit here at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya.
The main highlights of the awareness programme were group discussion, oral communication, yoga practice session, theme based quiz competition followed by prize distribution. Yoga expert Sonam Drema Khirmey demonstrated various asanas and practiced  pranayamas to the students. She also urged all to make yoga a part of their daily life for individual  health and welfare.
FPO, FOB, Tawang enumerated the motto of organizing the programme. Earlier, before yoga practice session, a mass awareness rally was conducted which was participated by the students and teachers of KGBV, Dirang. FOB, Tawang Press Release
