ITANAGAR, May 11:In a bid to create awareness on Childline 1098, Childline Itanagar conducted an awareness programme for students of various districts, who are at DBYC Vivek Vihar for skill development training and spoken English programme. The objective behind the program was to aware the participants on Childline 1098, a national 24X7 toll free emergency phone outreach service for children in need of care and protection. The team also highlighted on various prevailing child rights in India, such as The Child Labour Prohibition and Regulation Act 1986, Right to Education (RTE) Act, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
