ITANAGAR, May 20:  Authorities have issued an Absconding Order against three individuals for concealing themselves from preventive detention after the proclamations were issued for their role in the 72-hour capital bandh call from May 10 - 12 last.
District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Region(ICR) Talo Potom, issued an Absconding Order against Techi Puru, Tadak Nalo and Teli Yamang for concealing themselves from Preventive Detention order under section 3 of Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act,2014.
In order to prevent any potential law and order issues, the State Government has implemented Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in and around the DC Office and other locations after Puru in his recent video message resolved to conduct a rally from his residence in Nirjuli to DC Office Itanagar. This measure is taken as a precautionary step to maintain peace and stability in the area, added DC.
Potom further informed the media that absconding notices have been issued
against the three individuals, including Puru, requiring them to appear before
the office of the district Magistrate in Itanagar on or before June 19 next in connection with the ongoing case. The DC emphasized that if the individuals failed to comply with the notice and do not appear before the District Magistrate's office, their properties will be seized as per the provisions of the law.
