Wakro, Sep 3: Lohit Deputy Commissioner K N Damo emphasised that there are abundant opportunities for those who excel through dedication and encouraged students to work hard for a bright future. He was addressing rural school children in the Beena Ghose Roy Enclave on Ajai Day, the birthday of Brig Ajai Prakash celebrated by the ASSET. Brig Ajai Prakash was the first senior leader from the Indian Armed Forces to visit Anugrah in 2004 to encourage social workers to serve with dedication. The beloved elder and a veteran worthy of worship continues to motivate social welfare initiatives by his meaningful association.
The DC was visiting the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) at Wakro along with ADC Wakro A J Lungphi and DIPRO Nyatum Doke in Wakro.
During his interaction with the students, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged them to study sincerely and work hard to achieve a bright future. The DC also appreciated the cultural performances by the students. He reminded the students to carry forward the aspirations and dreams of their parents through their sincerity and achievements.
The visit concluded on a positive note, with the DC assuring of continued support from the District Administration towards the holistic development of KGBV Wakro and its students.
Alpana Sikidar hosted a lunch for all the children and staff members of the ASSET commemorating the Ajai Day celebrations in the Beena Ghose Roy Enclave.
Alpana who is an affectionate well-wisher, in her previous visit to the KGBV and Apna Vidya Bhavan schools had expressed a desire to offer lunch for all the children.
Alpana Sikidar was accompanied by Adviser ASSET Indraneel Bhattacharjee from the Nabadal.
Shraddha Prakash and Brig Ajai Prakash, former Commander of Lohit Brigade, conveyed their best wishes to the children and staff on Ajai Day.
