Khonsa, Jun 8: In a continued effort to support education and community development in the remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam Rifles at Khonsa, gifted whiteboards to Poakkoam English School located in Borduria village, Tirap District.
The initiative came in response to a heartfelt request from the school authorities, who approached Assam Rifles seeking assistance in enhancing the educational infrastructure of the school. True to the spirit of “Friends of the Northeast,” the battalion acted swiftly and generously to fulfill the community’s needs. 
This thoughtful gesture was met with overwhelming appreciation from the school authorities, students, and villagers alike. Community leaders expressed their gratitude, acknowledging the Assam Rifles’ continuous efforts not only in ensuring security but also in contributing positively to social development. Such initiatives strengthen the bond between the security forces and the local populace, reinforcing the image of Assam Rifles as compassionate partners in progress.
