PASIGHAT, Aug 23: As a mark of gratitude to the person who helped find the dead body of late Vicky Pertin, one of the three JNV Geku students who drowned recently, one Bidesh Pegu from Loklung village, Jonai under Dhemaji District, Assam was felicitated in a small programme held at Loklung by the parents of the deceased and Kepang Erang Kebang Pasighat Block.
In a statement today, father Amak Pertin expressed gratefulness for the help extended by TMPK members from Assam in finding the body which was untraceable throughout Arunachal territory.
The body of late Vicky Pertin was recovered from south of Delu-Sikang-Siang rivers confluence near Majorbari ghat area on August 4 last after the boys drowned in the Siang on July 26 last.
