Ziro, May 24: As an ambassador of the Govt. of Assam, Nandita Gorlosa, Minister of Sports & Youth Welfare, Welfare of Minorities & Development etc., visited Tajang Village in Ziro on Friday and handed over a condolence message from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and a cheque of Rs. 5 Lakhs to the bereaved family of late Corporal Tage Hailyang who was martyred in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
The Minister also visited important places in Ziro including India’s First Integrated Aqua Park at Tarin, Seeh Lake at Biiri and Horticulture Nursery at Siiro and interacted with the concerned officials to know their functioning, challenges faced and future prospects. She was accompanied by Padmapani Bora, Commissioner, Tourism Department, Government of Assam.
Earlier in the day, the Minister was given a warm reception by Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Vivek H.P, Deputy Commissioner, and others dignitaries.
