ITANAGAR, Jan 9:  The  Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee APPSC (PAJSC), which is spearheading the cash-for-job scam today said that it will be meeting the Home Minister for talks in a last ditch effort to arrive at a "logical conclusion" while also adding that aspirants are done with the "delaying tactics of the state government". 
Speaking to reporters at the press club here on Monday, Chairman Techi Puru said that the committee will stick to its 13-point charter of demands submitted by the All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) in connection to the APPSC cash-for-job scam during the meeting with Home Minister Bamang Felix on Tuesday.
He said if the meeting with the minister doesn’t end with a logical conclusion, the committee will talk with the team ANSU for further course of action to be taken. "Moreover, the aspirants are done with the delaying tactics of the state government. The meeting should bring a logical conclusion to the entire APPSC fiasco," Puru said.
Speaking on the demand for declaring the entire exams ‘null and void’, he said that the committee is not demanding for the entire 2014– 2017 examinations to be declared null and void but only those where malpractices have occurred.
“There are many selected candidates who are ready to sit for the fresh examination if the examinations get declared null and void. Therefore, the committee appeals to the rest of the candidates in particular and the general public as a whole not to get confused on the same,” he added.
Puru also said that the committee will follow up on the investigation process now carried up by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the three-member departmental inquiry report, the committee claimed that the departmental inquiry report only affirmed the compromise of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) by the commission without disclosing who and when it was compromised.
Highlighting their demand point-wise, Puru said it was a structural failure of the state government to allow such a heinous crime against thousands of genuine candidates. "Now the ball is in the hands of the government, therefore the state government must act accordingly without protecting any officers involved in the paper leak case," he said.
