ITANAGAR, Sep 9: The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) seems to have landed in controversy after allegations of paper 'leak' in one of its recently held examination.
Two aspirant candidates of the recently held Assistant Engineer Examination (Civil) conducted by the body alleged that the paper of the main examination was leaked. Alleging leakage of AE (Civil) examination paper conducted by the Commission held on August 26 & 27, the candidates have  demanded stay in the declaration of result through a petition in court.  A total of 415 candidates appeared for 33 post of Assistant Engineer in the recently concluded examination.
Gyamar Padang, one of the aspirant candidates who took the examination alleged malpractice and paper leakage as he got calls from a coaching Institute called “Jeju Institute” from a teacher named “Akhilesh Yadav” who was confident of knowing some questions which were definitely going to come in the said exam.
Then on August 24, two days before the examination, when Padang met the teacher named Akhilesh Yadav, he was given a set of 5 handwritten questions which he took casually.
On the day when the aspirant appeared for the technical paper of the mentioned AE (civil) examination, Padang was surprised to find all the exact five questions in the same manner. 
"The numbers & decimals, diagrams, were exactly the same without any change even in decimals," Padang said while speaking to the media. Secretary APPSC, Dr Jayanta Kumar Ray (IAS), said that he has received the information and has  immediately forwarded the case to the police officials to investigate the matter. "We have done the examination in a very transparent manner, but if there are any leakages Commission will surely take action," he said.

Meanwhile, candidates have filed a case in the Guwahati High Court Itanagar Bench and the court on September 5 last has directed the Commission not to make any appointments without taking leave of the Court and issued directives to list the case after four weeks.
