ITANAGAR, Mar 1: Mori Tapu Team from Mori village of Siang District and One Step Foundation from Hija village, Lower Subansiri district presented the famous 'Tapu War Dance' of the Adi tribe and 'Pakhu-Etu' Folk dance of the Apatani tribe respectively representing Arunachal Pradesh in the ongoing Taj Mahotsava 2023 at Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Handicraft and handlooms creations of the state were also displayed during the three day event.
The Taj Mahotsava is an annual cultural extravaganza organized every year by the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh wherein cultural presentation of every state in India is showcased. The teams also had memorable day long tour to famous monuments and historical places of Agra.
The participation of Arunachal Tourism in the Taj Mahotsava is to solemnise the promise of keeping the spirit of national integration between the partnered states under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat initiative of Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India through yearlong plan engagement like cultural exchanges, tourism activities, student exchange etc. between all Indian States and Union Territories.
