ITANAGAR, Aug 23: Arunachal Pradesh Sub Junior Boys football team beat strong rival Manipur by 2-0 in the ongoing Sub Jr. Boys National Football Championship 2018, North East Zone Qualifiers, being played at Aizawl, Mizoram.

With the win, Arunachal finished at the top of its group and qualified for the final round of National Football Championship for the first time in the history of the competition. The final round will be held in October next.

"It was a must-win match for us and our boys showed strong mentality to register this fabulous win for us," said team head coach, RockyRamching.
