ITANAGAR, Feb 15: Prominent singer and composer Rerik Karlo Digbak from Arunachal Pradesh has been awarded “Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar 2020” in Folk and Dance category Arunachal Pradesh today at Meghdoot Theatre Complex, Rabindra Bhavan, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Minister of Tourism, Art and Culture Krishan Reddy conferred the award.
During the ceremony in total 19 personalities from North-East India were awarded in various categories. Rerik Karlo is a school teacher by profession and recorded almost 250 songs in different Arunachalee Languages.
