ITANAGAR, Jan 3: Arunachal on Monday kick-started the Covid vaccination for teenagers, aged between 15 to 18 years, on Monday. The Union Health Ministry had announced that Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin will be administered to eligible children — in two doses 28 days apart.
Swami Vishweshananda Secretary RKM hospital launched the vaccination for Capital Itanagar at the hospital's Covid Vaccination centre  today in the presence of Dr D Padung, Nodal Officer NHM, DRCHO Dr T Mize and a host of other officers and staffs.
The DRCHO informed that both on the spot registration and online registration are available for vaccination. He informed that for registration, one may log into www.cowin.gov.in
The  DMO Dr Mandip Perme has also appealed the denizens especially the youths under the age group of 15-18 yrs to come forward and get vaccinated.
West Siang Deputy Commissioner Penga Tato launched the vaccine at General Hospital Aalo in presence of health officials.
The DC urged all the beneficiaries to take the vaccine without any hesitation as it is tested, safe and gives protection from COVID-19 disease. The positive cases are growing rapidly and I appeal to all to take all precautionary measures and practice COVID-19 appropriate behavior as we did in the past to keep the disease at bay, he said. 
Dr. Dubom Bagra, DMO, Aalo informed the gathering about the COVID-19 Vaccines and its doses of both COVAXIN and COVISHEILD. He also informed that booster dose (3rd dose- COVISHEILD) vaccine for all the Health Care Workers (HCWs), FLWs, 60 & above years with co-morbidities will be started from January 10.
The vaccination session for both COVAXIN and COVISHIEILD will be held at all the Health Facilities of West Siang District as per the availability of vaccine received from the State. 
The daughter of Commander 5 Mountain Brigade took the first vaccine on the day to inspire other children of the district.
Along with the rest of the country, Covid 19 vaccination for 15-18 age group was launched today at CHC Yazali by  Taba Bida Goyee, Vice President, BJP Lower Subansiri District-cum-Chairman, Vigilance and Disciplinary Committee, BJP Lower Subansiri.
Goyee also lost his  33-year-old son to Covid-19 complications recently.  Speaking at the launch, he urged the people in general and beneficiaries of age group not to believe in hearsay and get themselves vaccinated.  A total of 10 beneficiaries got themselves vaccinated on the day of the launch.

West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki launched the vaccination drive at Covid Vaccination Center (CVC) of General Hospital, Bomdila.
Vaccination took place between 9 am to 5 pm where 77 students of GHSS, Bomdila received their first dose of Covaxin.
Miss Sange Eton (15) was the first to be vaccinated with Covaxin.
“Beneficiaries can receive their second shot of vaccine after completion of a minimum of 28 days of interval,” informed Medical Superintendent Ghom Lhamo.
Leki also inspected the ongoing construction of the new hospital building and asked the contractor to expedite the work with quality and complete the construction at the earliest.
