Haryana, Mar 13: The Arunachal Pradesh State team is putting up a stellar performance in both Badminton and Lawn Tennis events at the 26th All India Forest Sports AIFSM- 2023 (National Forest Games) being held at Chandigarh, Haryana from March 10-15 next.
In the Badminton women's singles semi final played against Uttarakhand, Taring Yania, Forest Guard won by 21 -03, 21 - 02 in straight sets.
In the men's single semi final, Mudo Ado, Forest Guard, comfortably won against Madhya Pradesh with a score of 18 -21, 21-16, 21-17.
In the Badminton women's doubles semi final, the Arunachal sensational pair Taring Yania (Forest Guard) & Pema Ladon (Forester) won massively against the defending champions Andhra Pradesh with a score of 21 - 11 & 21 - 09 in straight sets.
In the lawn tennis men's singles event, Damodhar A.T., IFS, DCF Wildlife Itanagar, who is also the Team Leader of Arunachal state contingent, entered the quarterfinal after defeating Jharkhand with a score of 6 - 1, 6 - 0 & 6 - 3 in straight sets.
