ITANAGAR, Nov 7:  In a significant stride towards modernizing law enforcement and community welfare, the Arunachal Pradesh Police unveiled several key initiatives today, inaugurated by Home Minister  Mama Natung. 
These initiatives, has been launched under the leadership of DGP  Anand Mohan and SP Itanagar  Rohit Rajbir Singh, emphasizing the state's commitment to progressive policing and enhanced victim support services, marking a transformative moment for Arunachal Pradesh’s law enforcement landscape.
Home Minster Mama Natung also inaugurated the Chimpu Police Station in Itanagar. Built with state-of-the-art facilities, the new police station is designed to streamline services, ensuring safety, accessibility, and swift response for the local community. The station represents a milestone in infrastructure development, reflecting the dedication of Arunachal Pradesh Police to modernizing law enforcement facilities for the benefit of all residents.
In a groundbreaking move, the Women Police Station in Itanagar introduced Ane’s Home, the first integrated support centre in India specifically for victims of trauma and abuse. Ane’s Home provides a holistic support environment, offering legal aid, trauma counselling, a safe space for children, and fitness and nutritional resources. This initiative aims to empower survivors with the tools they need to rebuild their lives, demonstrating the Arunachal Pradesh Police's compassion and dedication to victim welfare.
The event also included the opening of the Police Ajin Canteen within the Itanagar Police Station compound.
Another highlight of the inauguration was the launch of “Roshni,” the official theme song for Operation Dawn, Arunachal Pradesh Police's comprehensive anti-drug campaign. Conceptualized by DGP  Anand Mohan. The song serves as a rallying cry in the state’s fight against drug abuse, symbolizing a shared commitment to creating a drug-free Arunachal Pradesh. Through “Roshni,” the Arunachal Pradesh Police aims to inspire both officers and citizens in this collective endeavour for a healthier, safer community.
Meanwhile,Home Minister Mama Natung commended the officers’ dedication and encouraged the community to stand together in building a safe and prosperous Arunachal Pradesh. These initiatives underscore the Arunachal Pradesh Police’s commitment to a future of security, support, and innovation for all, a release stated.
