Hawai, Apr 19: A four day eco-adventure cum awareness camp themed ‘Nurturing youths, securing future’ was organised by Arunachal Photography Club at Samdul camp, Hawai in Anjaw district which ended on April 18 last.
Gracing the inaugural session of the camp as chief guest, SP Anjaw, Rikke Kamsi lauded the effort of the club to extend firsthand knowledge about the benefits of adventure activities. 
Tajum Yomcha, research scientist Namdapha Tiger Reserve spoke on ‘importance of wildlife conservation & bird watching as a livelihood potential’. John Panye and Ngurang Nega, members of Arunachal Angling Forum talked about ‘prospects of angling’.  Taka Tamut, Everester and Tenzing Norgay adventure awardee while motivating the participants encouraged the youths to work hard and highlighted the different adventure activities as tourism potential. 
Workshops on Basics of photography, bird watching, angling & rafting was conducted for 30 participants.
ZPC Anjaw Soblem Pul appreciated the effort of the club and requested to conduct such workshops with more participants and resource persons in future. “This is an introductory awareness workshop about the prospects & avenues of adventure activities in Anjaw District. More workshops with field experts are in the offing as giving back to society initiative by the club,” said Bengia Mrinal, President of APC. ZPM Hawai North Danseplu Pul, Major Anterpreet Singh 20 Punjab, Director Youth Affairs Ramesh Linggi and Pujan Pradhan & Khusiali Kri; researchers from Wildlife Institute of India also attended the closing ceremony of the adventure camp. 
Earlier, the APC team in its photographic expedition also visited Namdapha Tiger Reserve, Miao, Dong valley, Kibithu & Wacha border to document the scenic landscapes, wildlife & culture of the Tangsas and Mishmis.
