ITANAGAR, Feb 1: Arunachal State Beach Soccer Team (Men) has reached the quarter finals stage of the ongoing 1st Hero National Beach Soccer Championship 2022-23 by defeating Goa 7-6 in a exciting last group encounter of Group D played today at Surat, Gujrat.
Team Arunachal didn't start its maiden campaign in National Beach Soccer Championship very well and lost the match against Odisha (3-7)on the opening day. However, the team showed competitive character and won all of its remaining three matches against Karnatak(4-2), Dadra Nagar Haveli & Daman &Diu (8-2) and Goa(7-6) respectively to qualify for the quarter finals along with Odisha from their concerned group.
Team Arunachal will lock horns against Uttrakhand in the Quarter final match on Thursday at 9 AM and if it wins, the semi final will be played the same evening.
