ITANAGAR, Aug 9: Arunachal Pradesh also launched the nationwide Meri Mati Mera Desh Campaign today to pay tribute to the bravehearts who laid down their lives for the country. Every village panchayat will install 'Shilaphalakams '(memorial plaques) to commemorate them.
Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner  Cheechung Chukhu launched the campaign from Chiputa under Doimukh block on Wednesday.
On the occasion a ‘plaque ‘was dedicated to martyrs Tana  Nanna and  Techi Gubin who fought side by side  against the British in Amtolah Conflict,1873.The bravehearts hail from Deb village and Luchung village under Sagalee respectively.
Paying homage the DC called for emulating the patriotism displayed by the duo.
SP Taru Gusar, Hods, PRI members, students and GBs participated in the event. Similar programs were held at Mengio, Silsango, Kimin, Toru,Leporiang and Doimukh.
PASIGHAT: Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu launched the campaign here at the office of PD (DRDA).
The DC, administered Panch Pran Pledge along with Vasudha Vandan, and Veeron ka Vandan and asked the people to upload selfies holding soil or earthen lamps. 
Yingkiong: Deputy Commissioner Upper Siang,  Hage Lailang, launched the campaign at Forest Children Park by unveiling the ‘Shilaphalakam'.
11 local 'veers'were felicitated on the occasion.
Khela: Deputy Commissioner Tirap Hento Karga launched the campaign in presence of SP Rahul Gupta, and other prominent people.The launch was also attended  by Veer Nari Chasan Dada.
Launching the campaign  at Amrit Sarovar Site of Khela Village under Khonsa CD Block, the DC unveiled  Shilaphalakam, in memory of Martyr Hav Hangpan Dada, who made the supreme sacrifice for the country.
An “Amrit Vatika” was also developed at that site in which 150  saplings of trees were  planted around Amrit Sarovar which was provided by the District Forest Department.
SP Rahul Gupta also addressed the gathering.
Namsai: Namsai District kickstarted the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign with much zeal and fervour.
Awareness campaigns amongst the panchayati raj members was conducted in all the Zilla Parishad constituencies by the, Member Secretary concerned.
EE,DUDA and DSO(sports) conducted
awareness campaign through a procession rally and by displaying banners.
A foot march was conducted by District Police Namsai in association with ‘A’ Coy, ‘G’ coy 186 Bn CRPF and school students at Namsai, Chongkham and Mahadevpur.
Roing: Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Soumya Saurabh launched the campaign today in  presence of heads of departments. 
The DC advised all to take part in the activities chalked out for the campaign and also administered the Panch Pran pledge to all present.
