NAHARLAGUN, Jun 25:Kojam Beyong, a promising young football player from the state has been selected to the prestigious Tata Football Academy, Jamshedpur after the final selection trial which was held in the month of May this year.

Beyong is the son of Mefang Beyong and a native of East Kameng District. Currently, he is studying in Sanghey Lhaden Sports Academy and playing for Capital Complex Football Club.

Congratulating Beyong on this wonderful feat, Arunachal Pradesh Football Association’s Secretary Kipa Ajay said, “It’s a very proud day for us that he has been selected by one of the most prestigious football academies of the nation. His achievement will surely inspire more young talents in coming days to work hard on their game.”

Earlier a total of eight boys were shortlisted for the national trials held at TFA Jamshedpur from the state level trial held by TFA in April this year. Among them Beyong was selected by TFA, India's prime supply line of future international players.

TT Wangja football coach of SLSA and Kipa Bharat, his head coach at CCFC also congratulated Beyong on his achievement.
