ITANAGAR, Jun 18: Arunachal sub junior girls football team scripted history by reaching the final of the  Hero Sub Junior Girls National Football Championship being played at Cuttack, Odisha thrashing Gujarat 4-0 in the second semi final played today. 
Arunachal will lock horns for the championship title against Jharkhand  who defeated Bihar in the first semi final on June 20 next.
"It is indeed a big day for our state that after our boys made us proud last by reaching final of Sub Junior NFC, now our girls have proven that football is moving in the right direction." said Kipa Ajay, Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Football Association. 
Minister Sports & Youth Affairs, Mama Natung has congratulated the girls football team for creating history by reaching the Hero Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championship 2019. He also congratulated Talo Ana for scoring 3 goals and Captain Simran Zeeba for scoring 1 convincing goal against Gujarat.
Meanwhile, he has also congratulated all the medal winners & participants of recently concluded KAI Sub-Junior & Senior National Karate-do Championships 2019 held at New Delhi.
Conveying best wishes for the final, Natung also congratulated the  Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) and Arunachal Karate-do Association (AKA).
