Itanagar, Apr 21: The two-day Arunachal Film Festival (AFF) concluded today at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre with the Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar Talo Potom gracing the valedictory event as the Chief Guest.
Guest of Honour Director IPR Onyok Pertin said that such event provides a platform to the aspiring filmmakers to discuss ideas and to showcase their talent and also encourages them to pursue their dreams in filmmaking.
R Jomoh, MD Khenewa Group while welcoming all hoped that the two day event was successful in inspiring the aspiring filmmakers of the state.
Day two of the event witnessed screening of iconic movies like The Tainted Mirror, a short film by Rome Meitei, In the land of Poison Women- a feature film by Manju Borah and a short movie Nyiri by Tage Apa and Xonie Lingdom.
Also the nominated short films of the competition held earlier were screened.
A documentary on the Arunachal Film Industry Evolution was also screened.
Other highlights of the valedictory function was dance performance by Jai Nalo and team, Tuli Sarke and team and The Twenties group and the opening mega dance.
Also, song performance by Tashi Wangchu and Skit play by Dawa Lama and team were other highlights of the function.
The DC lauded the entire team involved with the event and also acknowledged the hard work that goes into putting things together for a film to be completed. He urged the artists and the filmmakers to encourage those interested in films and said that the state has huge potential for film industry to grow.
Later, the DC also felicitated winners in various categories.
The festival was held by the Department of IPR in collaboration with Khenewa Group.
