ITANAGAR, Aug 25: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) said that the Congress party will be organizing  ‘Mehangai Par Halla Bol’ rally on September 4 next at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital against inflation. 
Addressing the media persons at the Press Club here today, APCC General Secretary, Zirgi Kadu said that the state committee will also join the ‘Mehangai Par Halla Bol- Delhi Chalo’ as announced by the party heads simultaneously with the rally. 
The rally which was scheduled to be held on August 28 was  postponed by a week to September 4, in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases. The party will take the fight forward with a series of protests against price rise, unemployment and also the removal of PM Narendra Modi, Kadu said.
The Arunachal Congress said that the country has faced the biggest inflation under the BJP government. It also cited demonetization and GST in every commodity. Inflation is being witnessed by every individual of the country and hence the people of Arunachal are appealed to join the rally along with the party, the APCC said.
“The price of a single LPG cylinder during the time of UPA government was around Rs. 400, which has astronomically increased above Rs. 1,000 today. Likewise, every daily commodity has been included with GST, which is undoubtedly hampering the poor section of people,” he said, adding that the people should not listen to the hollow talk of the BJP leaders.
It is crystal clear how demonetization uprooted the rural economy of the country which always remained the backbone of the Indian economy. The effect was practically experienced by the poor section, small scale industry and people living in rural areas, the APCC general secretary said.
Kadu also said inflation is not only the concern of the Congress party but the entire people of the country. Therefore, people from every section, irrespective of party affiliation should join ‘Mehangai Par Halla Bol- Delhi Chalo’.
“People should know that if Delhi changes, automatically it will lead to positive changes for the welfare of the country and its people. Therefore, we appeal to the people to join the rally to raise voice against the present government and also to remove PM Modi for a better India,” he added.
