ITANAGAR, Sep 8: The City Congress Committee (CCC) along with Block Congress Committee (BCC) jointly organized ‘Padyatra’ (foot march) in support of the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ which was flagged off by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Kanyakumari.
The foot march began from Indra Gandhi Bhawan, Naharlagun and ended at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan in the state capital on Thursday.
Speaking to the reporters, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Seva Dal (APCSD) president Kipa Kaha said the BJP government is using the CBI, ED and Income Tax office for their personal motive, which has left no option for the party but to march towards every individual and make them aware of such authoritarian government.
Hitting out at the media, he said, national channels have stopped to show the talks of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and others. This is the reason for the 3,570km campaign from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, he said.
“The BJP government is imposing supremacy on the common public through inflation and baseless ED and CBI charges. In spite of working out a policy to curb the unemployment issue, this government is more concerned about the party and its future,” he said.
He said, while the BJP and RSS are in an effort to divide the country, Congress is working to bring all together through this Padyatra movement as well as to strengthen the Congress party. Kaha also appealed to the state BJP party leaders to join the Congress party for the unity of the state as well as the country.

“PM Modi said that the price of essential commodities will decrease under his government which has now reached the sky. It is the biggest inflation under the BJP government that the country is witnessing,” he said, appealing to the BJP government to take out GST from every single commodity.
He appealed to the Chief Minister Pema Khandu to re-amend the GST Bill in the state so that there is no inflation. Likewise, the government should look into providing subsidies in LPG, which was provided during the UPA government.
He also said that the BJP government is also very casual over the recent repeated development seen on Arunachal and China border.  This is a clear sign that the BJP government is not concerned over people’s security, he added.
