ITANAGAR, Sep 4: It was a day of ups and downs for Arunachal Pradesh in the ongoing Hero Sub Jr. National Football Championship for Boys and Girls being held in Malda, West Bengal and Amritsar, Punjab respectively.
Both boys and girls teams kicked started their campaigns in National Championships today.
Arunachal Sub Jr. Boys Team secured a comfortable and dominant 6-0 win today against strong side Jharkhand in its first match of the campaign in Hero Sub Jr. (Boys) NFC 2023 being held in Malda, West Begal.
Team forward Rei Kaha scored a hatrick for team Arunachal while Kolo Dari scored brace in the match. One more goal was added by Team Captain, Nabam Tagia.
Meanwhile, in its first match of Hero Sub Jr. Girls NFC 2023 played today at Amritsar, Punjab, State Sub Jr. Girls team suffered 0-6 defeat against Haryana.
The team will play its next match against Maharashtra on Wednesday while State Sub. Jr. Boys Team will lock horns against Gujarat on the same day.
