The celebrations will continue till June 15 next, with the party organizing conventions on achievements of PM Modi from the district right down to the booth level across the state.

Addressing the gathering, In-charge President cum General Secretary, Jarpum Gamlin pointed out that the very foundation of BJP is resting on the shoulders of grassroots level workers, who with their determination and commitment to forge ahead despite the many challenges have shaped the body of the party today, leaving an inspiring example for tomorrow.

Gamlin attributed the big win of the BJP over Congress in the last Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh, as an acknowledgement of the untiring efforts of Party Karyakartas at grassroots level.

Expressing his sincere appreciation to the larger BJP family, who has contributed with all their might over the years to party development, Gamlin urged Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, Legislators, Councillors, Panchayat members and other party workers of the state unit to emulate the examples of Karyakartas of Uttar Pradesh to bring new change and development in the state.

Gamlin further stated that the BJP would eradicate poverty for which it has put various pro-poor schemes under implementation and exhorted the activists to focus on strengthening the party from the grassroots level and create awareness of welfare schemes initiated by PM Modi in rural areas and help the right people get the benefits of pro-poor schemes.

Dwelling on the achievements of the NDA government in the past three years, senior party leader, Laisam Simai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the country is witnessing progress and development at peak level.

“We are dedicating this momentous day to our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who with his commitment and devotion has made the nation achieve the feat, which no political party has achieved after independence,” added Simai.

He recounted some of the social welfare schemes implemented by the government such as providing toilets in every household, Jan Dhan Yojana through which more than 14 crore bank accounts for financial inclusion have been opened, Beti padhao ,Beti Bachao Abhiyan for women empowerment etc.

Simai further emphasized that economic and social development of the state is only possible if the masses continue to support the government in every development aspect.

Elaborating on growth of BJP in the country, Changlang MLA, Tesam Pongte said that today BJP is known as one of the best working political party in the world, not only for its egalitarian nature but due to the strong foundation laid by its founding figures like Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.

‘BJP is the only party with a “difference” which considers interest of the nation as foremost, not like Congress which has looted the nation and abandoned the people in darkness for decades,’ added Pongte asserting that PM Modi has made other countries feel the presence of India in international platform today and has given it a leading status globally.

Pongte also said that the BJP government under Act East Policy has connected almost all the villages in Arunachal with highways, infrastructure and other required facilities.

Terming the BJP party as “dynamic in nature”, Minister for Home, Kumai Waii in his address emphasized that the BJP, being a national party, was a cadre based party and not an individual centric party where all the party workers were as important as any other.

He pledged to eradicate corruption completely from the state and sought support from all stakeholders.
