ITANAGAR, Jul 21: Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC) in a press statement announced its decision to stage a democratic movement against the state government and alleged corruption charges against the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh.
The AAC alleged the Chief Minister Pema Khandu of involvement in corrupt practices such as the SGRY Scam, Power Scam, Panchayati Raj System, Dept of Mining & Mineral Scam, Gross Misuse of CAMPA Fund, Hydro Power Scam thereby siphoning the money/fund meant for the developmental activities of the state.
AAC also claimed that a case had already been filed for misappropriation of SGRY fund before the Supreme Court bearing SLP (C) No. 31233/2010 arising out of PIL No. 52/2007 and the PIL against misappropriation of fund under Power Department.
Above all the Gauhati High Court Itanagar Permanent Bench has already disposed of the PIL No. 13/2019 filed against Arunachal Pradesh Mineral Development and Trading Corporation Ltd. Itanagar for misappropriation of public fund, and directed the authority to take appropriate action against those involved. But the present government is yet to execute the direction of the High Court, stated the release.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Capital Region has granted permission to AAC to hold peaceful dharna from July 23 to July 29 next at the Tennis Court, Itanagar.
