ITANAGAR, Sep 20: As part of the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav which is commemorating 75 years of India’s independence, Arunachal Rural Road Development (ARRDA) under Rural Works Department conducted a 2-day event at Ziro RWD in Lower Subansiri district under the supervision of Nodal and Assistant Nodal officer appointed by the National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency (NRIDA) Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
The 2-day event consisted of New/Green Technology site visit and Technical deliberations. On September 18, the first day, four sites were visited where roads were constructed using   new/green technology. During the field visit, tests were conducted in presence of State legislators, Administrative officers, Department Engineers, Technology partner, Panchayat leaders, Women group and locals. The technique of construction, tests and other details were explained by experts at the site. On September 19, technical deliberations were conducted along with a small exhibition by technology and material providers. The technical power points were presented on new/green technology used in constructing the said roads.
The event was attended by Minister RWD Honchun Ngandam as Chief Guest and Minister Agri. Horti &Vety, Tage Taki, Secretary RWD NT Glow, Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri, SP, CE RWD, SEs RWD, Engineers among others. The Ministers and DC appreciated the event and lauded the visited sites.
The event was attended by more than a hundred people maintaining COVID-19 SOPs.
