Pangin, Nov 27: Troops of the Regiment of Artillery, part of Spear Corps have officially launched an exhilarating White Water Rafting expedition in the majestic rivers of Siyom, Siang, and Subansiri. This adventure is part of the Regiment of Artillery's Bicentenary Celebrations and will cover a remarkable distance of approximately 750 kilometers over the period of 17 days.
The expedition commenced on November 23, with its first leg taking place on the Siyom River, starting from Thumbin in West Siang district and culminated at Sangam Bridge in Siang District on November 24. A dedicated team of 25 skilled soldiers, including specialists from the Army Adventure Wing, participated in this 100-kilometer long Siyom leg.
The subsequent legs will navigate the Siang and Subansiri rivers from December 1-8 and December 13-19, respectively.
This expedition not only showcases the courage and teamwork inherent in the Indian Army but also promotes adventure tourism in the remote and picturesque regions of Arunachal Pradesh.
The event underscores the indomitable spirit that defines the Indian Army and highlights its commitment to fostering adventure and camaraderie among its ranks.
