CHANGLANG, Nov 15:  In a significant initiative aimed at promoting good health and aiding the rehabilitation of youth, the Indian Army on provided essential facilities to drug rehabilitation centers at Bordumsa, Gidding, and Goju in Changlang District.
The event focused on the vital role these centers play in promoting a drug-free society through counselling, medical care, and vocational training, empowering individuals to overcome addiction. The Army extended support by providing sports equipment, billeting supplies, and other essential commodities to enhance the facilities and create a positive environment for the recovery of individuals undergoing rehabilitation.
Over 300 youths, alongside 10 rehabilitation center coordinators, participated in discussions with teachers and other community leaders on the transformative impact of these centers in fostering a healthier and more empowered society. Attendees expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for its continued commitment to social welfare and community development.
The event culminated in a collective pledge by the youth and locals to work towards building a drug-free society.
