ITANAGAR, Jun 15: A voluminous archival materials collected on the Tai Khamti rebellion of 1839 and other related documents dating back to 1830s from British Library London by Nepha Wangsa was handed over to the chairman of State Core Committee on Unsung Heroes of Arunachal Pradesh and also the Dy. Chief Minister Chowna Mein recently.
The documents are basically manuscript recorded by the British Administration in India of their official correspondence and other related activities in India. Nepha Wangsa who is currently part of the research team of History department of Rajiv Gandhi University has been collecting digitised archival materials from India and abroad since many years as he started working on the wancho-Anglo war at Ninu incident of 1875-76. The handing over ceremony marked the historic event and commemorate the significances of the research work on Unsung indigenous heroes of Arunachal Pradesh.
