ITANAGAR, Jan 7: A delegation of Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) today while interacting with Member, National Commission for Women (NCW) Shyamal S. Kundar here in the state capital highlighted the need for making marriage registration compulsory to secure the future of women.
While sharing the challenges faced by women in tribal society, the APWWS team shared with Kundar the details of women’s movement in the state and the contributions made by the state’s women in various sectors. The team also apprised her about its initiative of making homemade masks during the lockdown.
The NCW member assured her support to the APWWS and sought suggestions on various issues related to women.
