ITANAGAR, Oct 25: Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) met Pankaj Kumar Jha,  Inquiry Officer to get an update  on Tani Jongkey  case.
Jongkey  has been reinstated in the department  of tax and excise by the state government following a court order recently after being sent on forced retirement for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl.
President APWWS Kani Nada Maling along with members Mamoni Riang and Yomjum  Geyi Jongsam met Jha who informed them that the inquiry on the case  is complete and report will be submitted within 10 days.
In a separate statement, APWWS stated that due and diligent process should be followed in all cases involving children and that investigation must be prompt.
