ITANAGAR, Aug 11: The members of the Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) on Tuesday met the Member Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) Jaweplu Chai and its Project Coordinator Marie Riba to discuss about the various cases received by the APWWS and its district units during the lockdown period.
APWWS while seeking smooth coordination with APSLSA to ensure outreach of justice at the grassroots, requested to include its members working in various districts to be included in APSLSA’s virtual training programmes so that they remain aware of the latest provision of laws related to women and children. The Society observed that training on various schemes related to welfare of women and children and the provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act need to be imparted to the grassroots level workers.
The APWWS team led by its Secretary General Kani Nada Maling and Social Services Coordinator Mamoni Riang handed over homemade masks to the APSLSA Member Secretary for distribution to its staff and Para Legal Volunteers.
