TIRBIN/AALO, Jan 22: An Arunachal Pradesh State Transport (APST) bus travelling from Itanagar to Tirbin reportedly met with an accident on Wednesday morning.
The accident took place in the wee hours of Wednesday near Tirbin town when the driver lost control of the bus and veered off the road.No casualty has been reported and passengers who suffered minor injuries are being treated at the nearest hospital, a source in the Transport Department told this daily. According to the source, it is suspected that the mishap was caused due to breakdown of the tie rod which resulted in the driver losing control of the steering.
Meanwhile, a committee consisting of SS Aalo, Foreman, STS, Aalo/ISBT and a mechanic has been constituted to enquire the cause of the accident. More details awaited.
