ITANAGAR, Jul 21: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) has expressed shock and anguish at the inhuman treatment and heinous act of sexual assault on two women in Manipur. The act is an insult to entire women fraternity--a mother, wife, sister and a daughter, it said. The Commission condemns the dastardly incident in its strong est possible terms and demands for exemplary capital punishment to all culprits involved in this heinous crime, the Commission said in a statement.
The APSCW also vehemently condemned the heinous sexual abuse committed by a hostel warden on 21 minors in Shi-Yomi District. The Commission requested the state government and all concerned authorities to take stern action against the accused as it concerns the future safety and security of children.
