TEZU, Sep 23: A team of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR), led by its Chairperson Gumri Ringu, visited Lohit district on Friday to review the implementation of the Poshan Maah programmes and child rights-related issues in the district. 
The team interacted with the Anganwadi workers, staff, parents, GB Telluliang and public at Telluliang in presence of DC Lohit, Deputy Director WCD, DIPRO and others.
The Chairman, highlighted the workings of APSCPCR and urged those present to lodge a complaint with the Police if any underage child is found working as domestic help. She also spoke about POCSO Act. 
CDPO Sujan Krisikro, speaking on the occasion said that the department of women and child development Tezu has collaborated with various departments under 5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 celebrations and carried out various activities including yoga sessions for pregnant women and children, health screening, menstrual hygiene awareness campaign, sensitisation on water borne diseases, nutrition, appropriate breat feeding practice, water conservation, management and conservation of rain water etc. 
DC Lohit Marge Sora speaking on the occasion urged the AWWs to sincerely impart their duties to the children attending Anganwadi Centres. He asked the GBs and public to do away with the practice of keeping underage children as domestic help and to inform the police if any such practice is witnessed.
The team also visited few schools and interacted with the school children and held awareness sessions on Good touch and bad touch, POCSO Act etc.
