ITANAGAR, Mar 12: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (APPSU)  has decided to call off its proposed bandh on March 14 next after meeting with Chief Minister Pema Khandu  and Home Minister Bamang Felix on their two point demand.
Speaking to the media, General Secretary AAPSU- Ritum  Tali informed that the union has called off the bandh after the state government assured to resolve their two-point demand. The AAPSU was seeking detail report on the vandalism of its office during the “Public Bandh” and clarification from the Home Minister for his misinformation on APPSC matter that created misunderstanding about the Union inl public domain.
"Both demands have been addressed during the meeting and  Home Minister  Bamang Felix has accepted that due to the delay in publishing the minutes of the meeting held on February 10 last there was some misunderstanding," Tali said. He also informed that persons who vandalized the AAPSU office have been identified and arrested by the police.
While clarifying on the 2nd point, Home Minister Bamang Felix admitted that there was a lapse as far as the government is concerned. 
"I want to say today that there was a mistake, minutes of the meeting which took place on February 10 last came out late. This is what APPSU is questioning and I admit that minutes of the meeting came out late.”
The Home Minister further said that in the meeting it was decided that swearing in ceremony of the new APPSC would be allowed to take place peacefully.
At least 10 cases against miscreants were lodged in the Itanagar Police Station for their involvement in vandalism during the “public bandh”.
