ITANAGAR, Oct 28:  All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU)  and All Nyishi Students' Union (ANSU)  called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday and briefed him about the ongoing APPSC job scam.
Speaking to the reporters, President AAPSU  Dozi Tana Tara said that Governor BD Mishra has assured of complete overhauling of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) members. He also added that the public is aware that the commission is an autonomous body and hence every final approval goes through the Governor. Therefore, the team met the governor on the matter and apprised the grievances of the aspirants.
Among the four members of the commission, Major General (Retd) Ganesh Singh Bisht and Major General (Retd) Jarken Gamlin have resigned, however, the union demanded that the rest members should also resign or be terminated.
“As two members have already resigned, the Governor is in wait for the rest of the two members for their response. Moreover, we have received a positive response from the Governor on the overhauling of the commission,” Dozi said.
Also, the demand of the unions for complete update on the SIC investigation into the paper leakage matter has also been addressed, which is a positive response by the state government in favor of the aspirants. "Taket Jerang should not only be the prime objective of the investigation by SIC, rather, it should investigate at the highest official level and accordingly punish every single official involved in the corruption prevailing in the commission," he said.

Subsequently, he also informed that the 12 hours  joint bandh call by AAPSU and All Nyishi Students Union (ANSU) will be discussed and accordingly will be informed to the public.
