ITANAGAR, Feb 15: In a startling revelation, the whistleblower of the APPSC paper leak scam, Gyamar Padang has claimed that he is in possession of an audio clip where one of the accused Akhilesh Yadav (faculty member of Jeju institute) has named Chief Minister Pema Khandu in the ongoing APPSC cash for job scam.
Speaking to reporters, Padang who was one of the aspirants for the AE (Civil) examination said "Police has seized my cellphone and I'm not sure about other audio clips but the one audio where one of the accused has taken the name of Chief Minister Pema Khandu  is with me and I will release it in public domain very soon."
Padang also slammed the state government for awarding a medal to a Itanagar Police official, A.K Jha during the recent Republic Day. "The same police official was avoiding my complaint to register FIR when I reached the police station to expose the APPSC job scam. The police officer also shared the contact number of Taket Jerang so that I could contact him regarding the job scam," he said. The whistleblower also questioned the transfer of the then Officer Incharge of Itanagar Police station Phassang Simi within few days of the scam being exposed.
Padang also questioned the working procedure of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case and the reason behind not arresting the former Chairman-APPSC Nabam Nipo. “How can an investigation agency avoid arresting the head of the commission, Nabam Nipo and arrest only his subordinate officer like Taket Jerang. If CBI cannot arrest the Chairman then there is no meaning in arresting only Jerang," he said.
While speaking on appointments of new Chairman and Members of the APPSC, Padang welcomed the reformation process but questioned the same adding "appointment of a mentally disturbed retired defence person for a limited time period of one year only raises many questions on the integrity of the state government". He further added the aspirants body will stick to its 13-point demand and no examination should be held under this Commission. We have apprehension that the examination will be conducted to accommodate the unfinished business of those who have already purchased papers or deposited money to the Commission, alleged Padang.
Meanwhile, PAJSC Chairman Techi Puru informed that the Committee will hold a rally on Thursday while the scheduled protest on February 17 has been cancelled.
PAJSC declares mass movement on its 13-point demands from February 16. This issue is not only limited to PAJSC but every citizen of the state has the right and responsibility to raise their voice against such injustice where the future of their children has been compromised.  If we want  change, and reformation in the system then the public, parents, aspirants, students, political parties have to come forward and join the movement, added Padang.
