ITANAGAR, Mar 1: The Galo Students Union(GSU) has demanded immediate suspension of two SIC officials, Inspector Bomchu Krong and Inspector Tapun Messar in connection with the murder case of APPSC Under Secretary late Tumi Gangkak.
Speaking to the media, Finance Secretary GSU, Kiren Rakshap alleged that both officers were mentally harassing the deceased in the name of interrogation including family members. He reasoned that if the duo are not suspended there is high chance that evidence may be tampered comprising a free & fair investigation.
"The day before the fateful incident, it was Inspector Bomchu Krong who called the deceased for interrogation in the name of CBI, and by evening of the same day Tumi Gangkak went missing. Surprisingly the next day when the family members asked the CBI officials about the summon, they categorically denied it," he said.
Further, the Union has demanded authorities to investigate the case in a fast-track manner and sought weekly updates on the case. GSU also demanded the arrest of all the accused involved in the death of late Gangkak, as well as fulfillment of all the demands placed by the aggrieved family for justice, failing which it has threatened to resort to democratic movement.
The Union also appealed to denizens not to give communal colour to the APPSC Job Scam.
"There should be free and fair investigation; this is not the issue of a particular community but for the whole state as well as the future of the youths," added Rakshap.
