Itanagar, Nov 14: The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has officially announced that the Preliminary Examination for the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination-2024 (APPSCCE-2024) will proceed as scheduled on December 15, 2024. The Commission’s statement aims to dispel rumors and clarify any confusion regarding a possible postponement.
In its press statement, APPSC noted that it had received a single representation requesting a delay in the exam date. After a thorough review and deliberation, the Commission decided against rescheduling, citing the larger interests of aspirants who have been preparing rigorously for the past three years. The Commission emphasized that any postponement would disrupt the timeline for subsequent stages of the examination, thereby affecting the overall recruitment process.
The APPSC further clarified that it has coordinated with Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) in Rono Hills to ensure no RGU exams are scheduled for December 15. Additionally, RGU has been asked to review its exam calendar to allow buffer time for candidates who may need to travel between the APPSCCE and university examination centers.
With thousands of candidates preparing for this prestigious examination, APPSC underscored the importance of transparency and adherence to the scheduled date. In its statement, the Commission urged candidates not to be influenced by unverified information or social media rumours. Candidates are advised to rely solely on official updates from APPSC and to focus on their preparations.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to conducting the examination as planned, reiterating that the APPSCCE Preliminary Examination will take place on December 15, 2024.
