NAHARLAGUN, Dec 30: Sharing his thoughts on the APPSC Job Scam, Union Minister for Law & Justice Kiren Rijiju expressed his concern and informed that reputed investigation agency like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is doing its part to unearth the truth behind the scam.
Responding to questions by reporters, Rijiju said that investigation should be done stringently against those involved in the APPSC Job Scam. "This incident is most distressing for all of us; APPSC is an autonomous body, and those working in the commission should re-think about the ongoing chaos. I spoke to Chief Minister Pema Khandu after the incident was reported to me, and suggested that all the members of the Commission should be held responsible for breaching the trust," the Union Minister said.
Rijiju further called for a free and fair probe adding that those guilty must not be spared.
"I won’t interfere in the investigation; and we should not influence the investigation process. Let the investigation agency work freely," he said while adding that no one should be spared if found involved in the scam.
When asked about the protest by the Chakma and Hajong community on the cancellation of the Residential Proof Certificate (RPC) by the Arunachal Pradesh government, Rijiju categorically reiterated that “Foreigners won’t get settlement and indigenous rights in Arunachal."
"In the Citizen Amendment Act, both the Prime Minister and the Home Minister of India have undoubtedly mentioned that Arunachal Pradesh is a protected area and CAA won’t be effected here. India is a democratic country, and everyone has the right to protest in their own way," stated Rijiju while responding to the ongoing protest by the Chakma-Hajong community in Diyun regarding suspension of Residential Proof Certificate.
Earlier, Rijiju also flagged off two ambulances contributed by Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) scheme for the District Hospital Koloriang and  Primary Health Centre, Kangku in Lower Siang District.
