ITANAGAR, Feb 9: The Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC) on the APPSC cash-for-job scam has expressed resentment over the investigation process of the premier investigation agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the ongoing APPSC cash for job scam.
Speaking to the media, PAJSC Member Tadak Nalo told reporters that its been almost 6 months since CBI took over the AE (Civil) Paper leak case, yet there is no new development. "Even the former Chairperson is yet to be detained for interrogation. Moreover, when our members went to the office of the CBI on Wednesday to inquire about the matter, a scuffle resulted between both parties because of the irresponsive nature of the CBI officials," he added.
Nalo said that the members not only wanted update of the case but were also keen on providing inputs so that it could ease the investigation process. However, the officials were not willing to take inputs from the aggrieved parents and the members, either, he said.

“We are aware of the past record of CBI investigation results on various corruption matters of the state. However, we believed that the CBI will prove us wrong. But, it seems that the delay in bringing out any new development into the APPSC case will see the same result,” he said, adding that the committee is still pining its hopes that the CBI will deliver justice to the case.

The PAJSC will be participating in the meeting with the state government on Friday.
The aggrieved aspirants and the parents are anticipating a positive result after the meeting. The meeting was actually scheduled on February 2, but due to some reasons it is was  rescheduled, Nalo added.
Meanwhile, the PAJSC cash-for-job issue Chairman Techi Puru while welcoming the appointment of a new APPSC chairman and members, however said that the commission should not advertise new exam dates before the entire matter is resolved.
He said the commission should arrest entire officials and staff from top to bottom involved in the case, disclose the selection process of the chairman and members in public domain, and also provide the joint high power committee report to the public before conducting any exams.
“The PAJSC will also hold a mass meeting on February 11, immediately after the meeting with the state government to discuss and react on the response of the state government over the 14-point charter of demands placed before,” he said.
Condemning the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) for not supporting the demand for declaring the entire exams where irregularities were found as ‘Null & Void’, Puru said that the AAPSU is to be blamed for not supporting the cause of the aggrieved aspirants.
