Itanagar, Aug 26: The Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council (APMC), in its 34th Executive Council Meeting held at Naharlagun today felicitated Dr. Riken Rina, Retired DHS-cum-Ex-officio Member, and Dr. Mika Umpo, Ex-Registrar-cum-Secretary, APMC, in recognition of their invaluable contributions to the Council during their respective tenures.
The Council also felicitated Dr. Jego Ori, Member, APMC, with a citation on his induction as a Member of the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), National Medical Commission of India for a tenure of 2 (two) years.
In his presidential address, Dr. Lobsang Tsetim, President, APMC, highlighted the significant contributions and constructive suggestions made by Dr. Riken Rina and Dr. Mika Umpo for the betterment of the Council. He also extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Jego Ori on his new responsibilities as Member of UGMEB, National Medical Commission.
Dr. Mika Umpo, Ex-Registrar-cum-Secretary, APMC and Dr. Riken Rina, Retired DHS shared their working experiences with APMC and they wishes all the best to the Council.
The President and Members also extended a warm welcome to Dr. Nabam Budh, who has taken charge as Registrar-cum-Secretary, APMC, with effect from 12th June, this year.
The Executive Council deliberated on various issues and adopted resolutions accordingly. The meeting was chaired by the Hon’ble President of the Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council.
Dr. Nabam Budh, Registrar-cum-Secretary, briefed the Members on the action taken on the resolutions adopted in the 33rd Executive Council Meeting and presented a report on the activities carried out during the interim period.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Kesang Wangdi Thongdok, Vice-President, who expressed gratitude to the two invitees, Members, and the Registrar-cum-Secretary for their active participation and valuable contributions to the discussions and adoption of resolutions.
