ITANAGAR, Jan 23: The officials and staff of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Monday held a condolence meeting at the Assembly Secretariat for late Taring Payeng, Joint Secretary APLA, who passed away at Naharlagun on 20th January following an illness.
Late Payeng, who joined the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in the early 90s as UDC-cum-Receptionist, was currently holding the post of Joint Secretary. 
Speaking during the condolence meeting, Speaker P D Sona said, “Arunachal Assembly family shares the pain of the family of late Payeng and extends its deepest condolences. Our minds and prayers are with them during this difficult phase of their lives”.
Describing late Payeng as a sincere, dedicated and straightforward officer, the Speaker suggested the APLA officials to take inspiration from the departed soul. He suggested them to help each other  in need and work like family as human life is uncertain.
Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte, Secretary APLA Kago Habung and Additional Secretary Tadar Meena also spoke and shared their experience with late Payeng. They also suggested the officials to always help each other and not to hold grudges for each other. 
Meanwhile, as a mark of respect to the departed soul one minute of silence was observed by the APLA officials led by Speaker and Deputy Speaker and prayed to the almighty God for eternal peace of the departed soul and also to provide strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
