AALO, Aug 22: A trial introduction of Apiculture in Mechuka has yielded encouraging results sparking hope among officials.
Apiculture was introduced at a trial cum demonstration farm of the Horticulture Segong Farm couple of months back to check its feasibility in the area. The collection of honey was encouraging as the trial yielded more than two kilograms from a single colony.
The Sub-divisional Agriculture Officer, Nyage Loya disclosed that Apiculture could be a lucrative venture in future to augment farmer’s income besides other benefit of bees in crop husbandry. DIPRO
