ITANAGAR, Mar 5: The apex students' body of the state All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) today categorically opposed the ‘Null & Void” demands made by the Pan Arunachal Join Steering Committee (PAJSC).
Speaking to the media, President, Papumpare District Students Union, Golo Lento informed that the union held its general meeting with its district frontal wings and during the meeting took various resolutions.
AAPSU  strongly opposed the  'Null and Void’ demand; condemning the vandalization of AAPSU building that occurred in the recent bandh call, it sought exemplary punishment against the culprits. The union also demanded clarification from the Home Minister on his lack of transparency to address the decisions taken on the 13-point charter of demands; free, fair, and speedy investigation into the death of Tumi Gangkak, Former Asst. Controller of Examination, APPSC.
"We demand the state government to resolve the demands of  the AAPSU, failing which the Union has decided to go ahead with a bandh call on March 14 next," Lento said.
He further added that Null & Void demand will affect the genuine candidates who have qualified for the examination through their own merit.
"Moreover, PAJSC wants an investigation from 2014, but if they really want the reformation they should ask for an investigation from  1992. So, AAPSU  is clear in its statement to oppose the demand for Null & Void," added Lento.
